Invading the Impossible

Since my dear friend and sister Jess is sharing about prayer on her blog http://www.christianhipster.blogspot.com/ , I thought I would post a clip from something that grabbed my attention the other day!

"Prayer is invading the impossible!" ~ Jack Hayford

"Each believer is a member of an occupational force which has one principal purpose: to enforce the victory of Calvary.

It is in this context that prayer begins to take shape. It becomes more than a single-dimensioned "asking." It becomes a multifaceted weapon through supplication, intercession, praise, thanksgiving, travail, petition, and worship.

'Praying with all prayer' is the final exhortation of the greatest single passage in the Bible on the subject of spiritual warfare.

No bastion will fall without a battle, but no battle will be lost if the warfare is fought according to the captain's commands:

'Watch and pray.'

'This kind comes out only by prayer and fasting.'

'Men ought always to pray and not to faint.'

'Pray without ceasing.'

'Praying with all prayer...' and so the battle goes. It's an act of violence, prayer is.

Wrenching Satan's claws from God's property, redeemed through the blood of the cross of God's Son - we need to learn well how to go about it."
